This Was Never About a Journal

This Was Never About a Journal

There is a version of this story where I say, “I’m so excited to announce my two new journals.” It would be simple, clean, and expected. But it wouldn’t actually be true.

Because this was never really about creating a journal.

This began with a much quieter realization—one that built over time. I started to see just how many women are holding everything together on the outside while slowly disconnecting from themselves on the inside. Women who are capable, reliable, and deeply trusted. The ones everyone leans on. And yet, beneath that steadiness, there is often a body that feels tense, tired, and never fully at rest.

I know that experience intimately, because I have lived it. I also know what it takes to begin finding your way back.

Both Soften and UnWound were created from that place. Not as solutions to fix anything, but as tools to support a different kind of relationship with yourself—one rooted in awareness rather than performance. These guided journals are grounded in nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and the understanding that healing begins with safety—not pressure.

Soften: A 12-Week Nervous System Journal for Women

Soften is a 12-week daily journal designed for women who are tired of bracing through their lives. It moves away from the expectation that growth must be structured, productive, or measurable. Instead, it invites you to notice where you are holding tension, what you may be carrying unnecessarily, and what it feels like—even briefly—to soften.

Some days that may look like writing a full reflection. Other days it may be a single word, or simply sitting with a question. The intention is not consistency or output, but presence. This journal supports nervous system regulation by helping you slow down, reconnect with your body, and release patterns of chronic holding.

UnWound: A 10-Week Nervous System Regulation Journal

UnWound builds on this foundation by focusing more directly on nervous system awareness and emotional pattern recognition. Over the course of ten weeks, with gentle morning and evening reflections, it guides you toward noticing how your body responds to stress, responsibility, and daily life.

Rather than encouraging you to change or override those patterns, it creates space to understand them. This process of awareness—subtle, steady, and often quiet—is where meaningful shifts begin. It is a nervous system regulation journal designed to help you reconnect with yourself one moment at a time.

This Work Is Not About Fixing You

At the core of both journals is a perspective that challenges much of what we have been taught about personal growth. There is nothing here that asks you to fix yourself. There is no implication that you are broken.

Instead, this work acknowledges that many of the ways you have adapted were intelligent responses to your environment. The goal is not to undo those responses, but to support you in feeling safe enough to reconnect with yourself beneath them.

This approach is rooted in somatic work and nervous system healing, where change happens through awareness and safety—not force.

Why Nervous System Regulation Matters

We are living in a culture that emphasizes optimization—track your habits, improve your mindset, do more, be better. But very little attention is given to the internal experience underneath all of that effort.

Without connection to your nervous system, even the most well-intentioned self-development tools can become another form of pressure.

These journals were created to offer something different. A quieter entry point into self-awareness. A way of engaging with yourself that supports healing without adding more expectation.

Bringing This Work Into the World

Bringing these journals into the world required a publishing experience that didn’t try to turn this work into something it’s not.

Denner Media met me in that.

There was no pressure to clean it up, make it more palatable, or turn it into something that simply “fits.” The work was allowed to be what it is—honest, layered, and rooted in real lived experience.

And that matters.

Because this kind of support didn’t start here.

Joe Trevors of Denner Media has been in my corner for years. Long before this had a name, a structure, or anything tangible to point to, he supported the direction I was moving in—even when it didn’t fully make sense yet.

That kind of trust is rare.

So getting to partner in this way now doesn’t feel случайно (random) or convenient—it feels aligned. It feels earned. And it feels like the kind of collaboration that actually allows the work to stay intact.

Which is exactly why these journals are what they are.
